305 Squadron Australian Air Force Cadets

A military and aviation focused youth development organisation for young Australians.

The Australian Air Force Cadets (AAFC) is a youth development organisation administered and supported by the Royal Australian Air Force, open to young Australians aged 13-17 who can then remain in the organisation until they turn 20.

The aim of the Australian Defence Force Cadets, which includes the AAFC is “By predominantly voluntary effort, to better equip young people for community life by fostering initiatives, leadership, discipline and loyalty through training programmes which are also designed to stimulate an interest in a particular arm of the Defence Force.”

This is done through weekly squadron training nights, as well as several training activities throughout the year designed to give cadets a foundation of Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) knowledge and discipline, develop qualities of leadership, self-reliance and initiative, and of course have fun time doing it.

305 Squadron parades weekly at The Pittwater House Schools in Collaroy, every wednesday night from 6:15pm - 9:30pm during the school term.

Some activities undertaken by the AAFC include flying, gliding, fieldcraft, adventure training, firearms training, cerimonial activities, aeromodelling, and many more...
